introduction |
The office of the University-Industry Linkage Cell was established in the
April, 2014 to facilitate the development of symbiotic relationships between the
University and partners from different industrial sectors. Initially, the
partnerships will be aimed to support the newly implemented mandatory industry
internships for the campus graduate, postgraduate and research programs. The aim
of University-Industry Linkage cell is to act as a dynamic liaison unit with
industry counterparts in order to identify opportunities to develop innovative
solutions for technological and industrial problems.
Mission :

The mission of the University-Industry Linkage cell is to
foster ties with individual companies and industrial associations in
jurisdiction of our university through continual dialogue with these
partners. This interface is envisioned to keep the campus research and
academic programs responsive to industry needs and relevant to social, state
and national development goals.

Moreover, industry-specific reliable data is difficult
to gather, and there also is the need to identify industry’s research and
recruitment needs.

Reliable Data :
To establish industry-specific reliable data based on
industry’s research and recruitment needs.
Student Recruitment :
To provide Industry with potential recruits possessing
high-quality skills.
Linkage Projects :

To help identify relevant
directions for the campus research thrusts and academic
programs based on up-to-date feedback from industry
partners.

To maintain congenial relations
with industry partners committed to supporting the
Campus industrial internship programs in the
undergraduate, postgraduate and research levels.

To identify opportunities for
extending relations with industry through various
activities, including commissioned research projects and
topic-oriented technical seminars.
Industry Prizes :
Raise company's profile in the University and its wider
community for a relatively modest sum by sponsoring a
student prize. Recognition of excellence in our students is
achieved through a number of named prizes and scholarships.
Encouraging the companies for sponsoring prizes for the
Faculty.
Scientific Expertise :
Opportunities exist at Campus for organizations to expand
their R&D capabilities through consultancies and contract
research. Our academic staff are internationally acclaimed
in their respective research fields, and the University is
well equipped to handle external projects.
Venues for Congenial Dialogue :
University can provide venues for continual dialogue with
various industrial sectors through symposia, exhibitions and
roundtable discussions.
Technology Transfer :
The HNGU University can assist with
and address questions about the technology transfer process. |

Industry-Academic Linkage Office consists of a committee of representatives from
the academic departments in the campus of university, and is headed by the
Chairperson. The unit functions under the Office of the Vice Chancellor, and
interfaces closely with other academic and research units in the campus.
